Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Volunteer Manager to join our team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a Full-time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week. In return, our Volunteer Manager will receive a competitive rate of £36,167 - £40,937 per annum, based on experience.

About the Volunteer Manager role:

In your role as Volunteer Manager, you will report to the Retail Operations & Trading Manager. You will work collaboratively across the charity to ensure a cohesive approach to meet volunteer recruitment, on-boarding and retention targets whilst providing the best experience for our volunteers.

You will lead on volunteering across the charity focusing on development, implementation, and monitoring of a new 5-year Volunteer Strategy. You will identify, recommend, and implement improvements across all volunteering programmes.

You will need to be confident and comfortable with adopting a creative but measured approach to projects and problem solving. You must currently hold a full driving licence with access to own vehicle and willingness to travel across our catchment area of Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.

We are looking for a Volunteer Manager who has:

• Strong / confident verbal and written communication.
• Experience in Development and implementation of Strategy and evaluating impact.
• Contemporary knowledge of attitudes towards volunteering and changing trends in volunteering.
• The provision of training and support to staff who manage volunteers.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build good working relationships both internally and externally to deliver best results and meet targets.
